A/N:This is a major AR some event's and or charecter's have been taken from the season one and two time line, IE Jason Kemp, the prom and bashing however I am not fallowing the show's story line.
Ben rolled his lips into him mouth trying to comprehend just what he’d been told there was no doubt in his mind that Jason had told him the truth. Oh he knew there were some parts being left out but just the same… It was a little too much to understand and he’d been around for a longtime, seen some pretty strange stuff too. The fact that yes this kid had power, and no he didn’t come from this realm was not a shock. It was the fact that he could possibly be the end of their kind that was a little hard to swallow. How this seemingly innocent teenager could in one blow snuff out all of his people was… well it was just improbable. He went over in his mind the conversation that had taken place no more than an hour ago with his old friend Jason. Right after he had scared the crap out of him by lurking in the shadows. “Where is dear old Brae?" "It's Brian, and he's... out." Ben raked a hand through his hair hoping that the young man wouldn't question him any further. He didn't really think he could lie to him any better than Michael could keep a secret. Shit... he hadn't thought of Michael in a long time. God how he missed him… Sometimes he wish on night's like these that his lover was still with him, he may not have been the best at coming up with solutions but the younger man had always been a calming presence. “Now, now none of that. It’s all in the past. I’m here now. For an altogether different reason.” “I’ll bet. Why don’t you get straight to the point.” “The kid.” “What about him?” “Don’t play stupid it doesn’t become you. He’s more trouble than you know Ben. He’s dangerous to your kind especially to Brae.” “You don’t know that.” “I have it on good authority. I’m serious Ben he could destroy us. Tell that hot as fuck friend of yours to keep away from him. Brae has no idea what he is and what he is cable of.” “What makes you think he’ll listen to me?” “Aside from the fact the you’re his friend, I would think death would be enough of a cause to be cautious.” "What is he?" "Where is Brae?" "What. Is. He. Jason." “Something that should have never been.” Jason placed a lingering kiss to the other man’s mouth, lightly tracing his bottom lip with his tongue. “Mmmm… wish I could stay handsome.” He smiled fingering the pendant that hung from a black leather cord around Ben’s neck, frowning slightly as the crescent shaped moon pendant gave off a strange glow. Ben wasn’t stupid there was more to Jason’s agenda then he’d let on. He was all for protecting his kind but he’d be damn if he was gonna be used as a pawn in whatever game Jason was playing. He was just glad that no one knew about the kid as of yet. Glancing down at the piece of paper in his hand he wondered if he was doing the right thing. The click at the other end of the phone signaled someone had picked up… ~*~ Across town Daphne Chanders paced the length of 5 feet before pivoting, arms crossed over her chest, brown eyes darting every which way but up. She briefly considered slitting her own wrist than thought that death would be worse. There were ways they could reach you even in death. She'd seen what kind of control they had over the dead. Especially when you were disliked. Daphne shuddered. How in the hell was she supposed to explain that she lost her best friend? ‘Oh gee Jason I was sure Justin was in his room when I left him this morning.’ She snorted. No. Not even she was stupid enough to go with that. Biting her lip she thought back to earlier in the day when she had walked in on the blonde, he’d been shouting at his cousin, a sorry excuse for a relative. David had screamed at Justin that he had been the soul reason his sister had been murdered the year before, why his mother had died just a few years shy of Justin’s ninth birthday. ‘It’s why your father can’t even look at you now!’ The shouting had stopped for about two minutes. Daphne would never forget the look in Justin’s blue eyes full of pain, shining with tears, when he turned to her as if asking her to say different, begging her to. The problem was that son of a bitch David had taken the facts out of context and there was no way for her to dispute his accusations without her telling Justin the truth about where he’d come from. It wasn’t Justin’s fault that he was naïve to his own heritage. It was his parent fault, well not really Jennifer’s, I mean how do you tell your only son that he wasn’t really yours to keep in the first place? That he wasn't exactly human... Before she could do any sort of damage control or say anything Justin had ran out of the house. Daphne had verbally lashed out at David cursing him for his stupidity. David had walked out and hadn’t come back saving her the job of killing him. Jason would do that later. Right now she had to find Justin before anything happened to him. His power's had been manifesting over the last couple of weeks in subtle ways that if you weren't looking you wouldn't have even caught it. The engine started as she pulled out of the driveway of the town house. Daphne tried to keep in mind that she had volunteered for this, accepted her role in Justin's life. An old friend had asked her to be there for Justin when the time came, when his powers would begin to show. The brunette sighed. Sometimes she wished that said friend was still around, maybe things would be different now if he was alive. Justice. He had been beautiful in his days on earth. Hair as gold as the sun kept in short waves, eyes as blue as the sky on a summer day, a smile that would light up the darkest corner’s of the universe. When she had just been a child of 8 he had come down from somewhere in the back roads of the old Victorian house where she had been born, her mother had later died of pneumonia. Daphne known as Deah back than had fallen down after being chased by one of the houseboys, a particular nasty ten-year old by the name of Alexander. He loved to throw rocks at her and tease her tell that she had been rolled in the dirt when she was born, its why she was black when her mother was obviously white. Justice had swiftly picked her up and told her she wouldn’t be crying anymore. Deah didn’t remember what happened to that nasty ass boy all she could remember was that the little boy never bothered her again. It helped that Justice took her under his wing (literally) taught her how to defend herself and about what she really was, and what she could do. She smiled remembering the man she thought of as a father, and best friend, before Justin of course. She supposed that was why she took a liking to Justin from the moment he’d been placed in her arms for protection. Justice had taught her well. So well in fact that when she reached the proper earth age he let her go make her own way into the world. Three hundred years later he would return to her in a panic asking a favor. Justice had fallen in love with a mortal woman named Jainirah Morgan. A lovely Twenty-Two year old woman with blond hair lighter then Justice’s own and a warm smile. Daphne remembered how scared she was for her unborn child. “I know about your people, Justice has told me everything there is to know. Imagine my shock… now.” Jainirah place’s her hand on her barely visible pregnant tummy. “He’s told me a great deal about you, I feel as if I know you already.” “Well you guy’s are safe here.” Deah indicates the spacious New York apartment. A lone tear slipped down her cheek, she angrily wiped it away. She had all the hope in the world that she would be able to keep her family safe from harm. It was a few months later that someone had taken Justice’s life. Daphne had been horrified when Jason had come to her in the dead of night warning her of an evil that had torn the life from Justice’s body and was now after Jainirah and her unborn child. The young woman had come back after Jason had left and begged Deah to take her child and hide him where he couldn’t be found. Deah didn’t want the baby to not know his mother; being separated from his mother would be devastating. So instead she took it upon herself to create a new identity for them. In the months before the child's birth a fire had been set to the apartment. The death's of two young women one pregnant one barely out of her teen’s had made the 10 o'clock news. That same night a Daphne Chanders, and a very pregnant Jennifer Taylor made their way out of New York and onto their path in life. Daphne shook her head of the past. It wouldn't do to spend the rest of the night thinking about what already happen. Picking up the cell phone from the passenger seat she dialed Justin's cell for the hundredth time hoping that this time he would pick up. It didn't help that she couldn't sense him anywhere. No she wasn't gonna panic. Panicking would get her nowhere. Maybe he was just venting at some bar down at Liberty. She knew that he'd been going there for the last few nights. "God. Please let him be alright." At that moment her cell rang. She hit the talk button anxiously. ~*~ Jason looked up from his mug he was still sitting at the café about a block away from Babylon. Sifting through his thoughts wondering what he had just done. He had decided to let some truth to this situation leak out to good ole Ben. After all if the other side was gonna play dirty by letting the little half-breed live this realm why shouldn’t he do the same? No one said he couldn’t ruffle a few feathers. The conversation that had taken place with Ben would give him some ammunition on his part. If those Elder’s thought that they could fuck with his territory they were gonna be in for a major shock. Walking out in the streets in the opposite direction of the vibrating club Jason grinned, soon his plan would come to past and all that he had been waiting for would be his. It had taken some time to hunt down the little bastard that Justice had created with his whore of a mortal. Had he known that Chanders had been the one protecting the kid he would have taken her life too the night he had taken Jennifer’s life. He didn’t know why Justice had taken a liking to her she was so boring using her own powers of concealment for… good. Ewww. He shuddered a bit repulsed. “Everything is going according to plan.” Jason said after a few blocks he turned down the corner of an abandoned building and made his way up rickety stairs. A silvery voice answered back. “Can we play now?” “No.” Jason answered harshly his marble blue eyes shifting in the poor light of the spacious room. His pupil’s enlarged until all the white is gone. There is nothing but pure blue in his eyes. “It’s not time. We can’t risk exposing ourselves.” “I am hungry, I want the half breed… his blood is pure and sweet. I can smell him now. He is full of fear.” The voice is now more of a hiss it looks as though the shadows are becoming darker. “Patience is a virtue.” Jason replies calmly removing his shirt, a cool wind caresses his bare skin. There was a slight whimper in the wind, Jason sighed reaching out letting the wind graze his fingertips. “We must be careful love, this place is different. Our kind isn’t favored here as it use to be.” He closed his eyes momentarily as the air around his body pulsed. “That’s it, damn that feel’s good.” “I’ll find you something to eat soon. Right now I need to fuck something before I explode.” “I can take care of that…” The dark shadows form into a solid mass of darkness, red eyes gazing hungrily at Jason. “I will take care of you.” The solid form moves closer embracing the younger man’s lithe form pushing locks of blondish brown hair back. Moments later he was on the bed writhing underneath the solid black form, hips pumping up in a frenzy. As he came Jason’s eyes flew open and the blue has been replaced with blood red. Somewhere deep inside of Jason a small voice is screaming. ~*~ Liberty Avenue… Brian carried the unconscious blond out of the dark alley, blending into the shadows. Hazel eyes flickered with gold searched every corner for any danger. The hairs at the back of his neck seem to rise in warning as he picked up the pace, why in the hell had he chosen to park his jeep so far from the club tonight of all nights was beyond him. Nothing has made sense tonight… not since he laid eyes on Justin since he discovered the mark on his innocent blonde. There were so many questions running through his mind at the moment he didn’t know which one he wanted answer’s to first. Well at the top of his list was how the hell had the kid moved in real time with him? How had he not sensed Justin when he’d walked into the club? How in the hell was he gonna stay away from him when he was so fuckin’ hot? Placing Justin carefully into the passenger side of his jeep Brian closed the door. He took a few moments to compose himself before getting into the jeep. Glancing over at the sleeping blond he couldn’t resist a small smile, no one had ever made him come so hard in his life. Bad thoughts! Reaching over he brushed a lock of blonde hair away from the kid’s eyes. Beautiful. Leaning over he pressed his lips against the slightly swollen ones, another to his temple. “What you do to me kid.” Closing his eyes for a second he breathe Justin’s scent in for whatever reason he needed to keep it with him. That much was done in the alley but he couldn’t help it. Brian sat up straight doing the damn seatbelt up, adjusting the mirror he did a double take. Nearly jumping out of his skin. “Shit Mikey!” “Hi,” Warm Brown eyes shined at him from the back seat. “Having fun?”
