Justin opened the door and let Jennifer in. “What’s wrong?” Jennifer asked. “Well,” Justin said. “Brian had to go to work for a moment and I assured him that I would be okay but now I am not so sure. I didn’t want to call him because I insisted so much that I would be okay. Can you help me out?” Jennifer smiled. “It’s okay. I’ll help you, honey. Your sister is coming right behind me so don’t close the door.” Justin looked back out and saw Molly throwing her head back and laughing while she talked on her cell phone. Justin waited for her to come inside. “I have to go,” Molly told her boyfriend. “Love you too.” “Hi,” Justin said when she had stopped talking and was staring at him. Molly hugged him tightly. “I’m here for you. Have you remembered anything?” “Molly,” Jennifer yelled wanting Molly to be more sensitive regarding the matter. “What?” Molly said. “Well, I love you anyway,” she then kissed him on the cheek and went inside. “Liam!” Liam came running and jumped in her arms. Justin closed the door and walked to the kitchen. “I was cooking.” Jennifer looked around. “Everything looks in order.” “What should I give them?” Justin asked. “They keep asking for milk or juice. So that’s what I give them but I’m pretty sure that’s not enough.” “Okay,” Jennifer said. “You can make mash potatoes. They like that and Illona and Keefe eat all the broccoli that you can give them.” “Are you serious?” Justin asked. “Yes,” Jennifer said. “You can give Sheridan rice. He loves that or plain spaghetti.” Justin smiled at that. “What about Fiona?” “She likes fruit,” Jennifer said. “Mainly grapes.” Justin nodded. “I can cut some.” “No,” Jennifer told him. “She eats them whole.” “What about the seeds?” Justin asked worried. “She spits them out,” Jennifer assured her. “Liam eats pretty much anything.” Justin had discovered that fast. “Okay,” Justin said. “I can manage that.” “Good,” Jennifer said. “I’ll stay around and help you a bit.” Justin rubbed the back of his neck. “Thanks.” “Sweetie,” Jennifer put a hand on his shoulder. “You don’t have to thank me.” “Justin!” Molly yelled. “One of your kids is eating toilet paper! Guess which one!” “I’m going to say Sheridan,” Justin said as he looked at his mother. “You are getting the hang of this sweetie,” Jennifer told him and watched him move to go get his son. *** Brian dried himself and grabbed the shorts he had placed on the bed. He got in them and sat on the bed. He took a deep breath and leaned back. He felt somewhat relaxed after the shower. He had jerked off thinking of Justin but it wasn’t quite the same. He had a great time when he came home and Justin had dinner ready for him. The kids were all fed and playing around. Justin had found the door gates and put them all around. They had decided to stop using them but if Justin felt better with them now he didn’t care. Afterwards they had put the kids to sleep and it was like everything was normal; until night came and Justin told him goodnight and went to take a shower alone. He was pretty sure that the blond was sleeping by now. He pushed any other thoughts of Justin away and sat up. He reached for some files he had brought home to look at them. After a while of reading he looked up when he heard the knock on the door. He wondered if he was imagining things. “Brian,” Justin knocked again. “Come on in,” Brian told him. Justin opened the door and then closed it quickly. He sat in the bed. “Am I bothering you?” “Not at all,” Brian told him putting the files next to him. “What’s up?” “I thought we needed to talk,” Justin told him. “Okay,” Brian was scared as hell as to what Justin would say. “Well,” Justin said. “I think you should tell me more about the kids. I mean today Jennifer came and helped me a lot. I learned so much and that helped me deal with the chaos here at home. I don’t think I should be calling her all the time thought.” Brian smiled and knew he should have prepared Justin for their full house. He still lived thinking that Justin knew everything about the kids. “Okay.” “Good,” Justin told him. “Let’s start with or beautiful daughter Illona. She is the smartest one of them all. She’s the brain,” Brian told him. “Okay,” Justin said. “But Liam is older,” the blond pointed out. “Yeah,” Brian said. “But that’s got nothing to do with it. Liam lives in his own world.” “I see,” Justin told him. He smiled a bit about it. “As long as you give her something stimulating to do she’s happy,” Brian explained. “I’ll remember that,” Justin told him. “Sheridan is the cutest baby,” Brian said. “But he looks just like Keefe, Brian,” Justin pointed out. “Yes,” Brian said. “But you see he has this smile that would convince anyone he is an angel even when you caught him in the act. He’s the black sheep Justin.” Justin shook his head. “I can’t believe you are saying that. He’s just a baby.” “He is a revolutionist,” Brian told him. “He would get all of them wild and rebelling if given the chance.” Justin took a deep breath and nodded. “Keefe is the cutest baby,” Brian said. Justin chuckled. “You said that about Sheridan.” “Yeah, but he’s always smiling and he’s our little angel,” Brian said. Justin listened to what Brian was telling him. “Keefe is obedient but he knows how to misbehave too,” Brian said. Justin nodded. “He’s the one that’s always getting sick,” Brian told him. “We have to keep watching him because sometimes he is sick and we don’t know it.” Justin was worried that Keefe would get sick under his watch and he wouldn’t know. “Then Fiona she’s very shy with everyone. She doesn’t like people as much as Illona does,” Brian told him. “She’s our beautiful baby girl.” Justin had noticed that about the girl. She was always playing with her sister and brothers but she stayed put not moving away too much. Justin smiled as he watched Brian describing the kids. “But when something doesn’t go her way she can show us how well her lungs work,” Brian told him. Justin laughed. “What about Liam?” “Well,” Brian shrugged. “Liam is like an old person. That kid is totally dependent on himself. He doesn’t ask for breakfast or food. He just goes gets it. We always leave little snacks that he can reach in the fridge or the cupboards.” Justin nodded and reminded himself to do that. “He doesn’t play much with his brothers or sisters but if they are next to him and start doing the same as he does he doesn’t mind,” Brian thought what else he could say. “If we tell him to do something he will protest but he does it anyway.” “What else?” Justin asked. “He can write already and read a bit,” Brian said. “You taught him.” “I wish I could remember this stuff,” Justin said. Brian wished the same thing. He cleared his throat, “he goes to school. So tomorrow I’ll start taking him again. This past week he was a little bit altered. He was missing you.” Justin smiled knowing that his kids loved him. He could see it each time they looked at him and just smiled. He wished he could remember everything about them. “What about me?” Justin asked. “Do I work?” “Yes,” Brian told him. “From home most of the time but you go to the office from time to time.” “Who do I work for, what do I do?” Justin asked. “You work for us,” Brian told him. “We own a company. You are the art director and my partner.” “Wow,” Justin said. “Yeah,” Brian stared at Justin and wanted to jump him. He looked so sexy and innocent at the same time, it was an intoxicating combination. “So,” Justin bit his lower lip. “Was it me or you that had all this kids?” “You had Liam,” Brian told him. “Then you got pregnant again but...” “But what?” Justin asked. “We lost it,” Brian muttered. Justin took a deep breath and nodded. He didn’t know what to say to that. “I had gotten pregnant at the same time too,” Brian said. “I had the quadruplets.” “Oh,” Justin arched a brow as he looked at the brunet. “I fucked you?” Brian was taken aback. “What?” “You had the rest,” Justin muttered and then looked away. Brian smirked. “Yeah, you fucked me.” “Wow,” Justin said. He didn’t want to think too much about him fucking Brian. It was enough that watching the man made him hard. “I should go now.” “Jus,” Brian said getting up from the bed. “What?” Justin asked. “I thought that,” Brian swallowed. “I thought that we should go out.” “Out?” Justin asked frowning. “Like right now?” “No,” Brian licked his lips. “Like on a date.” Justin thought about it. “But we are married.” “Yeah so,” Brian said. “We used to have dates all the time.” “Oh,” Justin said. “Okay, I guess.” “It’s going to be an opportunity for us,” Brian told him. “So you can get to know me.” Justin nodded and then left the room. He couldn’t stop smiling like an idiot because Brian had asked him out. It was stupid; they were married and yet he didn’t feel like they were. He shook his head and went to bed. If he thought too much about it he would become depress about the whole issue yet again. Brian stayed in his room and knew it was going to be okay. *** Emmett opened his eyes and smiled when he realized that he hadn’t been dreaming as soon as he saw the teddy bear that Alicia always had in the bed next to him. He took it and got up with it. He went to the kitchen and found Ted and Alicia having breakfast. “Morning,” Ted said. “Why didn’t you wake me up?” Emmett asked. “You needed to rest, Emm,” Ted told him. “You went to bed really late last night.” Alicia pulled her arm asking for her teddy bear. Emmett gave it to her. He smiled at Ted and kissed him quickly. “I’m going to take a shower,” Emmett said. “Then I’m taking Alicia to the mall. We need to buy her stuff.” “Yes,” Ted told him. “I have to go to work.” Emmett nodded and left. When he came back Ted had Abe in his arms and Melanie was leaving. “What’s going on?” “We are going to have Abe staying with us for a while,” Ted said putting the boy on the floor. “What’s going on Teddy?” Emmett asked. “She and Lindsay broke up,” Ted told him. “No one knows.” “When did this happen?” Emmett asked him as he walked over to Ted. Abraham ran over to Alicia and smiled at her. Alicia took some of her bacon and gave it to him. He ate some of it but then threw it on the floor. “It was a few weeks ago,” Ted told him. “Melanie told me but she was dealing with it.” “And now?” Emmett asked. “She has a big case to work on,” Ted said. “She’s working like crazy. She’s going to sell the house and get an apartment.” Emmett couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “She’s going to quit that job soon,” Ted told him as they walked to the bedroom. “She wants to be able to spend more time with Abe.” Emmett walked outside to look at Abe and Alicia. “Hi,” Abe said looking at the girl. Alicia stared at the boy. Abe giggled and waved at her. “Ted,” Emmett said. “Look at them.” Ted came behind Emmett and smiled. “Just like brother and sister.” Emmett nodded and watched. “I hope everything goes well with Mel.” “It will,” Ted said. “We are here for her.” Emmett kissed Ted and they enjoyed the kids for a few more minutes before they resumed what they had to do before leaving their home. *** Chris parked in front of the building before he ran out of the car like a maniac. He stopped and came back for the keys and then headed towards the place. He ran back one more time and got Andrew out of the back. He kissed him on the head as he went up the steps. “I’m so sorry, I forgot you there. Daddy is so not thinking straight today.” “Mr. Hobbs,” Mr. Hammond said as he saw Chris. “I’m so sorry,” Chris said a bit out of breath. “Daddy!” Vicky ran up to him and hugged him by the leg. Chris looked at Mr. Hammond. “I’m really sorry. It’s just that Michael was the one that used to pick her up and I so totally forgot. I don’t even know how. When I left the apartment this morning I knew I was picking her up after all I dropped her off. Oh god, I’m such an awful father. I was with Andrew all day taking him to his appointment and getting his things if not I would have forgotten him too.” Both kids were in the same daycare. “It’s okay,” Tobias said. “You don’t have to worry. It happens to every parent at one point or another. You would be surprised. I know you didn’t mean to do it. Relax.” “I don’t know what to tell you,” Chris knew he was getting red. He was so embarrassed for having forgotten something so important. “You don’t have to say anything at all,” Tobias assured him. “Vicky and I had fun while we waited for you.” Chris smiled at him. “Thanks,” he said as he picked his daughter up. Tobias walked with Chris back to the car. “I’m happy to say that Vicky is doing great.” Chris smiled. “At first she was acting a little out of place,” Hammond told him. “But I know it was because of what happened.” Chris nodded not wanting to bring the subject of Michael’s death in front of his kids. “She’s adjusting once again,” the man said. Chris put Andrew in his car seat and the boy started crying. He sighed and picked his daughter as well. He knew that she missed her father. She would ask for him all the time but she was too little to understand what he was telling her. It didn’t matter what he told his daughter; she couldn’t grasp the fact that Michael wasn’t coming back ever again. “We are going home, Andrew,” Chris told the boy. “Thanks for letting me know all this,” Chris said. “If she gets out of hand you let me know right away.” Tobias nodded. “She’s a good kid.” Chris nodded and stared at him. He smiled and the got in the car. “Drive safely,” Mr. Hammond said. Chris nodded and drove away, none of them suspecting that they would see each other soon.
