Brian sighed as he walked to the car where Jeremy was. “Hey,” Jeremy said. “How are you doing?” “I should be asking that,” Brian said. “He’s going to be okay,” Jeremy said very quickly. Brian nodded and they stayed quiet. “I want to kill her,” Jeremy said. “I know it’s her.” Brian nodded. “But that’s wrong,” Jeremy sighed. “Yeah,” Brian said. “Against the law or something.” They looked at each other and smirked. “How is Justin taking all of this?” Jeremy asked. “If he was the one that was here with you he would probably be trying to convince you that laws can be broken,” Brian said. “I don’t blame him,” Jeremy opened the door to the car. Brian got inside as well. “So where is Justin?” Jeremy asked. “He’s back at the precinct,” Brian said. “He called me about an hour ago. Jessica killed a guy that was breaking in. He was just a petty thief. Bad time to get into that house with all that’s going on.” “Jesus,” Jeremy shook his head. “Where are we headed?” Brian asked as soon as they started driving. “Someone told us they saw Cynthia. We are going to check it out and then we can arrest her.” “Stockwell is dead,” Brian said. “I know,” Jeremy told him sighing. “She’s not stupid. She might have a big part in all of this and now that the uncle is dead she can stay with the family business.” Brian rubbed his face. “She’s a bitch.” “You got that right,” Jeremy said. “We’ll be there in no time.” Once they arrived at the place Brian and Miller got out of the car. “You stay here,” Jeremy said. “I’ll go ask around.” Brian nodded and crossed his arm over his chest as he leaned against the car. He looked around making sure that they were in no danger. Half an hour later Jeremy came out a little bit angry. “What’s up?” Brian asked. “She was here around ten,” Jeremy said. “She left already. They said they saw her here with a man.” “Now what?” Brian asked. “I don’t know,” Jeremy said. “She’s driving a Ferrari,” Jeremy told him. “We’ll find her.” “What color?” Brian asked as he moved to the passenger’s side. “Red,” Jeremy told him. In the distance they heard police sirens. They turned to look and saw the car chase. "Would that be her?" Brian asked as Cynthia sped past them. After her two cop cars went by and then an ice cream truck going at full speed. "Okay," Jeremy said once they were inside the car. "You don't see that everyday." “Go,” Brian hissed. Jeremy sped after everyone. “That bitch can’t get away,” Brian said. “She won’t,” Jeremy said. “She’s going to the end of the road if she keeps in this direction.” “Damn it,” Brian hissed as he reached for his cell phone. “I’m going to call Justin.” “Don’t forget Brunson,” Jeremy said. “Right,” Brian agreed. “I can’t talk right now!” Justin shouted into the phone. Brian frowned. “What’s that sound?” “What?” Justin asked. “Where the fuck are you?” Brian asked not believing it. “A chase,” Justin said. “Are you in an ice cream truck?” Brian asked. Jeremy frowned and looked at Brian briefly. Then he focused on following the truck. “Yeah,” Justin said. “I’m after Cynthia.” “We are behind you,” Brian said pinching the bridge of his nose. “Good,” Justin said and then hung up. Jeremy smirked. “So?” “I can’t believe him,” Brian said shaking his head. “Don’t lose them.” “She’s not stopping,” Jeremy said. “Fuck!” Brian hissed. “I hope Justin doesn’t do anything stupid.” Minutes later they heard a car roaring and a loud bang. The ice cream truck hit a tree at the edge of the ravine. “Jesus!” Jeremy hissed and hit the breaks. Brian hit his left shoulder on the dash board. “Fuck!” “Are you okay?” Jeremy asked getting out of the car. Justin jumped out of the ice cream truck and looked at the red car that was at the bottom of the cliff. He frowned and looked at the officers getting out of the second cop car. The first cop car had followed Cynthia down the cliff. “Are they okay?” One of the officers shouted. “We have to get down there,” Justin said. “I think she jumped out,” the woman officer yelled. “I think I saw her jumping out.” “Justin!” Brian shouted as he got out of the car. “Are you okay?” Justin just nodded and watched as the officer started to make it down the steep ravine. “What a fucking mess,” Jeremy hissed. “I’m going down there,” Justin said. Brian sat down on the hood of the car. “Fuck!” “That would teach you to use the seatbelt,” Jeremy said going with Justin. Brian waited with one of the officers. While they were there two other police cars arrived plus and ambulance. “Are you okay?” the paramedic that got out shouted at Brian who was holding his arm and looking like he was in pain. “Fuck!” Justin hissed as he came back from the ravine. “Call another ambulance,” he said to the woman officer that had stayed with Brian. “She’s not there,” Jeremy said as he walked behind Justin. “That fucking bitch!” Justin hissed and kicked one of the buckets of ice cream that had got out of the back of the truck. “Relax,” Jeremy told him. “This is just a minor set back.” Justin turned around and glared at him. “Okay,” Jeremy said raising his arms in surrender. “It’s fuck up.” Justin looked at Brian and frowned when he saw the paramedic. He walked over to them quickly. “What the fuck is going on?” “I’m okay,” Brian said. “Is anyone dead?” “No,” Justin said. “The officers are going to be okay,” he said as he watched the paramedic working on Brian’s arm. “They are pretty bang up.” Brian nodded. “You are an ass,” Justin told him. “Thank you,” Brian said. Justin just smiled. “Is he going to be okay?” “Yeah,” the guy told them. “You just can use this arm for a while. And you should come to the hospital to make a few x-rays to be sure.” “I’m okay,” Brian told him. “I’m going to strap it,” the man said. “And you can’t take it off.” “I’ll make sure,” Justin said. Brian sighed. “I use that hand to shoot.” “Too bad,” Justin said. Brian glared at Justin. “I’m going back to the hospital,” Jeremy said. “We are coming with you,” Justin said. Brian just groaned. “Can you bring some ice cream with you?” “Shut the fuck up,” Justin hissed. Jeremy and Brian laughed. *** “Do you want anything?” Hunter asked. “No,” Jeremy assured him. Hunter frowned and then looked at Billy. He sighed and sat down. “It’s all my fault.” Jeremy looked at the teen. “If it wasn’t for me we wouldn’t be here,” Hunter felt really bad about the whole situation. Jeremy frowned. “He took a bullet for me,” Hunter said as a tear escaped him. “He’s not all that bad.” Jeremy smiled. “Maybe you can get me something to drink.” Hunter looked up and smiled. He got up quickly. “I’m sorry.” “Don’t be,” Jeremy said. “I’m going to get you something to eat too,” Hunter told him. “You’ve been here all day.” “You don’t have to worry about me,” Jeremy said. “You are like family,” Hunter told him. Jeremy nodded and watched the boy go. He went back to stare at the blond. He kissed him on the forehead and closed his eyes. “You have to be okay.” The door opened slowly. “Don’t tell me you need money,” Jeremy smirked and turned to look at Hunter. “If you are offering it just because I’ll take it,” Cynthia said. Jeremy’s posture changed. “What the fuck are you doing here?” Cynthia pulled out a gun quickly and pointed at the man. “I came here to kill you.” Jeremy’s breath hitched. “The both of you,” Cynthia said. Jeremy’s blood ran cold. Cynthia smirked. She pointed her gun at Billy this time. “To die so young.” “Don’t,” Jeremy said. “You guys had caused me so much trouble,” Cynthia said. “Likewise,” Jeremy spat at her. “Oh, Miller,” Cynthia said. “Such a temper.” “Get the fuck out of here,” Jeremy said. “Grew some balls?” Cynthia chuckled. Hunter was walking back to the room to ask Jeremy what he would like to eat when he saw that the door was open. He frowned not knowing who else could be there since Brian and Justin had left and no one else came to see Billy. “Are you going to help me or what?” Cynthia asked. “If not, I’ll kill Billy.” “How do I know you won’t kill him later?” Jeremy asked. “You don’t. But I will leave you alone if you don’t come after me,” Cynthia said. “I’ll make sure of take care of the rest.” “There is a lot of evidence against you,” Jeremy pointed out. “Half of it would be erased and the other one would die soon,” Cynthia said. Jeremy sighed. “It won’t work.” Cynthia laughed. “You think you are so smart but hey, I manage to get inside this place. How about that?” “What the fuck do you want?” Jeremy asked. “Shhh,” Cynthia put a finger over her mouth telling him to keep it down. “Where is Justin?” Cynthia asked. “I don’t know,” Jeremy said. “I have no clue.” “Don’t lie to me,” Cynthia hissed. “Anyway, I don’t need him right away. You are going to have to help me or I’m going to kill your sweet darling boy.” Jeremy looked at Billy and knew he would do anything for him. “Just don’t do anything to Billy,” Jeremy muttered. “Good,” Cynthia said. “Now let’s get to the point of why I am here.” *** Jennifer was coming out of the supermarket when someone grabbed her by the arm. “Craig!” she yelled, scared, when she finally saw who it was. “I need to talk to you,” Craig told her. “What are you doing here?” Jennifer asked. “You look different.” “I have a job,” Craig said. “I’m not drinking. “I’m happy for you,” Jennifer said moving a step away. “I need to talk to you,” Craig said. “Right now I have to go,” Jennifer told him. “I am not even supposed to be out. Justin had told us that we have to be careful.” “I talked to him a week ago,” Craig said. “He’s been helping me. He found me a job.” “That’s good, Craig,” Jennifer smiled. “I am changing,” Craig said. “I just...” “What?” Jennifer asked. “Can I walk with you to the car,” Craig said. “Sure,” Jennifer told him. “Let me help you with that,” Craig grabbed some of the bags she was carrying. “Thank you,” Jennifer told him smiling. They walked to the car in silence. Jennifer put the groceries in the back. “I have to go,” Jennifer told him. “I know,” Craig sighed. “I have to tell you something.” “What?” Jennifer asked and looked at her watch. “I know about what’s been going on,” Craig said. Jennifer looked at her ex-husband. “What do you mean?” “Cynthia came to me,” Craig told her. “What?” Jennifer asked. “What are you talking about?” “She told me to betray Justin,” Craig said. “She would give me anything I wanted.” “You didn’t,” Jennifer gasped. “I said yes,” Craig told her. Jennifer looked away as tears graced her eyes. “You are such a bad man.” “I’m not,” Craig said. “I’m calling the cops,” Jennifer said. “I can’t let you do that,” Craig said. Jennifer swallowed hard. “Oh my god,” Jennifer said looking at Craig. “You have become such a monster.” Craig just stared at her, thinking of what to do next. Then the cell phone that Cynthia had given him started vibrating and he knew it was time. *** Justin parked the car where Jeremy had told him to come. He didn’t know what was going on or how his father had gotten a hold of Jeremy’s number. He just knew that his father was hurt because Jeremy had told him so. Once he got out of the car he walked to the empty building. He looked around and wondered why his father was there. “Dad!” Justin walked around the place for a while and then he stopped when he heard a car approaching. By then he was on the second floor. He looked out the window and frowned when he saw Hunter getting out of Jeremy’s car and running into the building. “What the fuck is he doing here?” “Justin!” Hunter called. “Justin!” Justin frowned and ran over to the boy. Once he got there he grabbed him by the back while putting a hand over Hunter’s mouth. “What the fuck are you doing here?” he asked while he pulled Hunter into one of the rooms. Hunter pushed Justin’s hand away and frowned. “This is a trap.” “What?” Justin asked. “It’s a trap,” Hunter said. “Your father is not hurt.” “What are you talking about?” Justin asked. “How did you get here?” “I borrowed a car,” Hunter said. “Burrowed,” Justin said and furrowed his brows. “You are in so much trouble.” “I know,” Hunter said. “Cynthia was in the hospital.” “That hospital is high security,” Justin sighed. “Fuck.” “She made Jeremy call you,” Hunter said. “I want you to get out of here,” Justin told him. “I’m not leaving you,” Hunter said. “We have to get out of here together.” Justin sighed and nodded. “Fine.” Hunter frowned. “Is that her?” he asked as he heard a car. “Fuck,” Justin said and looked out the window. “Yes!” “Now what?” Hunter asked. “Come with me,” Justin said pulling the teen with him. “We are so going to die here,” Hunter said as they hid in one of the cluttered, abandoned rooms. “You shouldn’t be here,” Justin told him. “I was warning you,” Hunter rolled his eyes and just squatted next to the blond. “Thanks would be nice.” “Shut up. Before you get us kill,” Justin got up but didn’t see anyone. “She killed him,” Hunter said as a tear escaped him. “What?” Justin asked. “She shot Jeremy. I heard it,” Hunter shut his eyes tight not letting the tears escaped him. Justin didn’t want to believe that Cynthia had gotten to someone else. “Shit.” “Oh, Justin!” Cynthia sing sang after a while. “Look who I have here.” Justin frowned and dared to look. Then he sighed and went back to where Hunter and him were hiding. “Who is it?” Hunter asked in a low voice. “My father,” Justin muttered. *** “Jesus fuck!” Jeremy said as he tried to move. He sat up and groaned. Cynthia had shot him right on the chest. He got up and checked Billy. Thankfully she hadn’t done anything to him. He pulled his cell phone and dialed Justin’s number. “Are you okay?” a nursed asked as she came inside the bedroom. “We got a breach,” he told her. The nurse quickly ran out of the room to alert everyone. “Fuck,” Jeremy sighed as he opened the buttons of the shirt and then took of the bullet proof vest. After taking a couple of breaths he dialed Brian’s number. “Hello,” Brian said. “Where is Justin?” Jeremy asked. “I don’t know,” Brian said. “What’s going on?” “Where are you?” Jeremy asked. “Second floor with Gus,” Brian said. “What the fuck is going on?” “Jesus,” Jeremy said. He took a deep breath and explained everything to Brian. “Fucking hell,” Brian hissed. “I have to go.” “You are hurt, Brian,” Jeremy said. “You can’t go there.” “Right,” Brian said and hung up. Jeremy sighed and looked up as Victor entered the room. “I have bad news and bad news and then some bad news,” Victor told him. Jeremy sighed. “Brunson is dead,” Victor said. “They killed him and stole his identifications.” “What else?” Jeremy asked as he put his shirt back on. “Hunter is missing,” Victor said. “Fuck! Let’s go,” Jeremy said. “I want to man outside this room. No one comes in.” “Okay,” Victor agreed. “We have to go help Justin,” Jeremy said. “And Brian is probably on his way.” Victor followed Jeremy out of the hospital and into the parking lot. He was making all the arrangements while he walked. “Where is my car?” Jeremy asked. Victor took out the keys from his car. “That’s the rest of the bad news.” Jeremy turned around to look a Victor with a raised brow. “Your car is missing sir,” Victor told him. “Double fuck!” Jeremy hissed knowing exactly who could have taken it. *** “There is no escape, Justin.” Cynthia smiled. “You are going to die here.” “You stay here,” Justin said grabbing his cell phone and giving it to Hunter. “Don’t go out there,” Hunter pleaded. “I have to,” Justin told him. “It’s going to be okay.” Hunter was crying but he nodded anyway. “Call the cops,” Justin told him and then he got up and walked to where Cynthia was holding a gun to his father’s head. He had his gun out pointing at her as he walked. “What do you want?” Justin asked. Cynthia smirked and pushed Craig on the floor. Cynthia then put her gun away. “Get on the floor,” Justin told her. “Do you think I would be this calm if I didn’t have a plan?” Cynthia asked as he reached inside her pocket. “Stop,” Justin hissed. “Is just a cigarette,” she said as she pulled it out very slowly. Justin swallowed. “Why haven’t you shot me?” Cynthia asked. “I’m not that kind of cop,” Justin told her. “I want you behind bars to pay for what you have done.” “I have other plans,” Cynthia announced. “Like killing you.” “It’s not going to be easy,” Justin kept his gun pointing right at her head. “Of course it will,” Cynthia said. “I mean, who can help you?” Justin frowned when he heard someone behind him. He knew he was fucked. “Your father helped us,” Cynthia said and shrugged. “I mean...family...you know.” Justin looked at his father in shock. “It’s not like that,” Craig told him as he got up. “Kill him,” Cynthia said. “No!” Craig shouted as he pushed Justin away and received the gun shot. Justin fell back on his back but quickly pointed to whoever had been behind him. Cynthia knocked the gun out of his Justin’s hands. “Not so easy?” Cynthia asked and laughed. “Todd?” Justin asked shocked. “I’m Terrance,” he said. “Todd’s twin brother,” Cynthia smiled. “I knew it!” Hunter shouted as he came from where he was hiding. Something had told him that Todd would never hurt him and that’s why he had kept quiet as to what had happened in the house that day that Billy got shot. “What the fuck did I told you?” Justin asked. “Sorry,” Hunter said sheepishly. “Two for the price of one,” Cynthia said smiling. “Anyway,” Hunter said as he looked at Terrance. “I knew you weren’t Todd.” “Good for you,” Terrance said pointing at Hunter. “You leave him out of this,” Justin shouted. “Too late,” Cynthia said. Terrance was going to take the shot when he grunted in pain. Cynthia turned around and looked at him. “What’s going on?” Hunter asked. Justin frowned and then he saw that someone had shot Emerson. “What’s with you?” Cynthia asked. “Kill them!” Emerson opened his mouth to talk but never did. He felt back on his back. Cynthia turned around and glared at Justin. She looked at the gun at her feet and smiled. “Don’t,” Justin said. “I think someone is outside.” “Yeah right,” Cynthia said. “You came here all alone.” “I called the cops,” Hunter said. “They are not that fast,” Cynthia went for the gun. She never made it up. “Justin,” Hunter gasped. “What’s going on?” “No one move!” A man dressed in black shouted and then seven more came after him. “What the hell?” Hunter asked. “Just keep calm,” Justin said. “Was there anyone else with them?” A guy dressed in civil clothes asked. “I don’t think so,” Justin said. “Check the place,” he commanded to his men. “This is so cool,” Hunter said to Justin. “What’s going on?” Justin asked. “Justin!” Brian shouted as he ran over to the blond. “Are you okay?” “Yes,” Justin murmured as Brian hugged him. “I’m here too,” Hunter said. Brian sighed and grabbed the teen to hug him as well. He had been so scared when he got to the abandoned building and saw so many agents around the place. He was thinking the worst. “Stealing is a felony, young man,” Jeremy said to Hunter. “I’ll make sure to tell that to everyone I know,” Hunter said and all of them looked at him. “What? I just borrowed your car,” Hunter said. Victor smirked and shook his head. “We have a lot to talk about,” Brian said. “I was just helping out,” Hunter said. “I’m Agent Rogers. FBI,” Rogers, the man that had been giving orders to everyone said as he smiled at them. “Are you working with Jeremy?” Justin asked. Jeremy shook his head. He had never seen the man in his life. “No. We are here because of Craig Taylor,” Rogers informed them. “He was the one that called us.” Justin turned towards his father in shock. He ran up to him and then kneeled. “I’m sorry. He didn’t make it,” a guy said as he got up. Justin couldn’t move. He kept looking at his father and nothing else. “Justin,” Brian said grabbing the blond’s left shoulder. Justin got up quickly and pulled away from the brunet. He didn’t say anything to them, just walked away from them as fast as he could. “Where is he going?” Hunter asked as he stood next to Brian. “I don’t know,” Brian said. Hunter walked away towards one of the agents that were looking around. “Is he going to be okay?” Jeremy asked meaning Justin. “I don’t know,” Brian said as he rubbed his face. “How is your arm?” Jeremy asked. “Better,” Brian told him. “Hunter! Let’s go.” Hunter rolled his eyes. “I’m telling him everything that happened.” “You will do that later,” Brian said. “Move it.” “I’m coming,” Hunter said as he walked towards Brian. “Jeez, you think because I am helping out they would give you a break,” he said looking at Victor. Brian and Jeremy looked at each other both of them had an amuse smile playing on their lips. Hunter walked away with Brian, Victor and Jeremy. He looked back to see if he saw the blond but Justin had disappear from sight. He just hoped that the blond was okay.
