Debbie was the first to enter the room. She walked up to Michael and Chris who were holding their daughter. Debbie covered her mouth and started crying. “Oh my god.” Emmett said with a sleeping Sheridan in his arms. “It’s a girl.” “We can see that.” Ted told him holding Liam’s hand. “Up.” Liam said to Ted. Ted smiled and grabbed Liam. He walked closer so the boy could see. “Soon, it will be you and me.” Lindsay whispered to Melanie who smiled and nodded. Jack came into the room with Denise. They had met her in the waiting room and liked her a lot. They had Fiona and Illona with them. Vic came in last holding Keefe. “She’s so tiny.” Debbie said as she stood in front of them. Everyone was watching Debbie. She had a smile from ear to ear. “Do you want to hold her, Ma?” Michael asked. Debbie nodded and received her granddaughter from Chris’ arms. “Jesus. She’s beautiful.” Debbie told them. Chris looked at Michael and smiled. Michael kissed him on the lips and whispered to him how much he loved him. “I told you it was going to be a girl.” Melanie said. “No, no.” Ted said. “That was wishful thinking.” Lindsay laughed and kissed her partner on the cheek. Melanie stopped frowning and smiled at Lindsay. “Congratulations, Michael.” Jack said to Michael. “Thank you.” Michael said. “You have a beautiful daughter.” Denise told him. “Thanks.” Michael told her not knowing who she was. “This is Denise.” Jack said smiling from ear to ear. “His girlfriend.” Vic said smirking. Michael smiled at Jack who was looking away so they wouldn’t see him blush. “Vic, come here. You have to hold her.” Debbie told him. Lindsay moved towards Vic and grabbed Keefe in her arms. Vic took the little bundle of joy in his arms. He smiled like a fool when she opened her eyes for a second. “You were so scared, Michael.” Ted said. “I was not.” Michael protested. “You were too.” Chris told him smiling. “Mine!” Liam yelled as he pointed at the little girl. “Sure she is.” Chris told him. “Prepare yourself.” Emmett said to Melanie. “That baby will be Liam’s too.” They all laughed and looked at Liam who was smiling. “So, what’s her name?” Emmett asked. Chris and Michael looked at each other with a smirk. “Her name is Victoria.” Michael said. “Oh.” Debbie said. “Like my mother.” Chris smiled and nodded. *** Justin took a deep breath and moved into the balcony. He took out a cigarette and lighted it up. “You can’t smoke in my new apartment.” Jack said coming outside and closing the balcony door. Justin looked at him and shrugged. “I’m outside.” Justin told him. Jack nodded and didn’t say anything else. “Nice place.” Justin told him. “And it’s about fifteen minutes away from you guys.” Jack told him. “In case you guys ever need me, I'll be close.” Justin smiled and nodded. “Thanks for thinking of us.” Justin told him. “I want to be close to my family.” Jack told him. Justin smiled and kept on smoking his cigarette. Jack stayed silent for a few seconds. “How are things?” Jack asked him. “Better.” Justin told him. “We are talking.” “Well, at least you are not killing each other.” Jack said. Justin smiled and nodded. He took a drag of his cigarette and then threw it away. “I like your view.” Justin told him. “And your girlfriend looks like a nice person. She reminds me of someone.” Jack smiled. “Thank you.” Jack told him. “Debbie.” Justin told him. “What?” Jack asked. “She reminds me of Debbie. I mean, they don’t look anything alike but, they have that same attitude. You fuck with me or mine and I will reap your balls, kind of gal.” Justin said. Jack laughed and nodded. “Are you happy?” Justin asked him. Jack nodded. “Are you happy?” Jack asked. Justin frowned as he looked at the street. “I’m getting there.” Justin told him. “I know he loves me and I love him. There was never a doubt about that.” Justin cleared his throat. “We just have to work on a few things.” Justin told him. Jack put an arm around Justin’s shoulders and gave the blond a warm smile. “You are like a son to me.” Jack told him. “I know that you are perfect for my kid. I know you guys will make it. I have faith in you, Justin.” Justin closed his eyes and nodded. It was good to have someone believe in him. *** “We want to take Liam to the park.” Jennifer said. “You are joking, right?” Justin asked. “Molly is going to be with us.” Craig told him. “Right, Molly?” Molly nodded. “I don’t know. I would have to talk with Brian.” Justin told them. “We want to show you, Justin.” Craig told him. “We have changed.” Justin sighed. He didn’t know what to think. “How are the babies?” Jennifer asked. “They are okay.” Justin told them. “Getting bigger by the minute.” Jennifer smiled. “Could we have some pictures?” Jennifer asked. “I want to put them up at work.” “I’ll see what I can get.” Justin said. “Could I talk to you?” Molly nodded and followed her brother into his bedroom. “What is going on?” Justin asked. “What are you doing with them here, trying to convince me to let them take Liam?” Molly frowned. “Well, they were crying.” Molly said. “What?” Justin asked. “They were looking at a picture of Liam and they were crying. I heard them saying how stupid they were.” Molly told him. “I think they have really changed, Jus.” Justin shook his head not knowing what to think. “Can you talk to Brian?” Molly asked. “I will be there and it would be just a couple of hours.” Justin nodded. “If anything happened, you know I would take Liam and get here in a flash.” Molly said. Justin nodded and smiled at his sister. He would talk to Brian about the situation, still not trusting his parents fully. *** Brian came behind Justin and kissed him on the shoulder. The boys were in their rooms sleeping soundly and Brian wanted to have Justin in his arms. “Not now, Bri.” Justin told him moving away. “I’m tired.” Brian frowned. “What’s wrong?” Brian asked. “Nothing is wrong.” Justin told him. “I’m just tired.” “Are you still mad at me?” Brian asked. Justin stopped pulling on the covers and turned to look at Brian. “What?” Justin asked. “Why won’t you let me touch you?” Brian asked. “Jesus, Brian!” Justin said getting mad. “I am just fucking tired. You have been fucking me all these past days and today we are just not going to because I am fucking tired. There is nothing more to it.” “Have you been letting me fuck you to pretend like everything is okay?” Brian asked. “Fuck you.” Justin yelled. “How dare you ask me that?” Brian swallowed hard and looked at the floor. “You know how hard I’ve been trying to make this work, Bri.” Justin told him. “Well, maybe you are not trying hard enough.” Brian told him. Justin opened his eyes wide and took a step back. “How can you?” Justin asked as his eyes watered. “Do you know how damn hard this has been?” “I lost a kid too.” Brian hissed. “No!” Justin yelled. “I was the one that carried it for seven months!” Justin was so pissed with Brian right then. “I am the one that plays with our kids and can’t stop thinking 'would our baby boy have looked like them?'. I’m the one that has to keep fighting nightmares. I’m the one who can’t have another baby. For so many reasons. Because it's not the right time. Because it won’t solve the problem. Because it might happen again!” Brian sighed and moved closer to Justin. “I’m sorry.” Brian told him. “Well, fuck you. Get out.” Justin hissed. Brian frowned and nodded. His intention was to go to the guest room and sleep but he ended getting his keys and going out. “Jesus.” Justin whispered as he sat on the bed. Justin was so mad at Brian. He couldn’t believe that Brian had told him he wasn’t trying hard enough. He tried every single day. He was getting better too but Brian was pressing him to make all the changes faster and he just couldn’t. He lay back in bed and heard the front door closing. He knew that Brian was probably going to get drunk but he didn’t care. At the moment he just wanted to forget about Brian and everything else. *** Chris was crying as he held Victoria. Michael came into the room and frowned when he saw them. “What’s wrong?” Michael asked alarmed. “She won’t stop crying.” Chris told him. “I don’t know what to do.” “It’s okay.” Michael said taking Victoria. Victoria wiggled in Michael’s arms and then stopped crying. Chris bit his lower lip and smiled at Michael. “There. All better.” Michael said. Chris frowned and tears started to spill. “I am such a terrible father.” Chris said and lowered his head into the pillow to cry. “She’s only a month and she already hates me.” “That’s not true, baby.” Michael assured him. “You are just stressed out.” “Oh god. What am I going to do? My daughter doesn’t want me.” Chris lamented. “Jesus.” Michael said. “Stop with the drama and relax.” Chris sat up and nodded. “She can pick up on your emotions, baby.” Michael told him. “You need to relax.” “I am relaxed.” Chris told him. “I think.” Michael smiled and kissed him. “You will get it.” Michael told him. “Remember how good you were with Keefe?” Chris nodded. “It’s not a science.” Michael told him. “Here. Take her.” Chris sighed and took his daughter. Victoria started to whimper then. “Relax.” Michael said moving behind Chris and rubbing his shoulders. “She’s great, isn’t she?” Chris nodded and kissed her. Victoria stopped whimpering and wiggled closer to her father. *** “I need you to call someone.” Ted said to Emmett. Emmett rubbed his face and yawned. “Call who?” Emmett asked. “Everyone.” Ted yelled. “Why are you yelling?” Emmett asked him. “I’m on my way to the hospital.” Ted told him. “That still doesn’t explain why you are screaming.” Emmett told him. “Emmett!” Ted screamed. “What?” Emmett asked. “Tell me you won’t go back to bed. Tell me you are calling everyone and telling them that we are at the hospital. Mel is having the baby.” Ted told him. Emmett opened his eyes wide. “Why didn’t you say that in the first place?” Emmett asked. “I will be there in a minute. I'll call everyone. Oh my god.” “Relax, Emmett.” Ted told him. “Okay, okay. Bye.” Emmett said. Emmett ran to his closet to get some clothes. He needed to call everyone and tell them what was going on. *** Brian took a deep breath and asked for another shot. The bartender nodded and gave it to him. “Hey.” Someone said sitting on the stool next to Brian. Brian looked at the man and nodded. “My name is Jason. Jason Scott.” Jason told him licking his lips. Brian looked at him again and shrugged. “You are looking kind of sad.” Jason said standing up and pressing against Brian. “Maybe I can make you feel better.” Brian looked at Jason once again and nodded. He got up and put some money down for the drinks he had. “My loft is close.” Jason told him. “Okay, fine, whatever.” Brian told him following Jason. Brian followed Jason out of Woody’s. He got in his car and arrived at Jason’s loft. He got out and thought about heading home but knew he was too pissed at Justin. He just wanted to forget the blond and everything else for one night. *** Justin sat down on the plastic chair. He looked at his kids who were asleep in the stroller. He then turned to look at Chris who was kissing Victoria. Everyone else was in the room with Lindsay and Melanie looking at their son, Abraham. “What a name.” Justin commented. Chris looked at him and smirked. “Where is Brian?” Chris asked. Justin shrugged. “I don’t know. And I don’t care.” Justin told him. Chris frowned not liking the answer. “Chris, are you happy?” Justin asked him. “You look happy.” Chris looked up and smiled. “I am.” Chris said. “Good for you.” Justin told him. Chris frowned and put his daughter in her carrier. “What’s wrong, Justin?” Chris asked him. Justin shrugged and frowned. He stared at the floor, biting his lower lip. “Justin.” Chris muttered. “I…Brian and I are growing apart.” Justin told him. “I don’t know. He seems distant.” Chris sighed. “I thought you guys were working things out.” Chris said. “We are.” Justin told him. “It’s just that Brian wants everything to be fixed up in an instant and I need time to get over what happened.” Chris nodded. “And I get so tired with the kids and Brian started to work so I am all alone. I even had to take some time off from school while we adjusted to all the changes.” Justin said and shook his head. “I’m trying and I feel like he sometimes can’t see that.” Chris frowned. “Have you talked to him?” Chris asked him. “About all the things you are feeling.” “We talk some times. Not as much as before.” Justin muttered. “Jesus, Justin.” Chris whispered. “You still love him, don’t you?” Justin smiled sadly. “With all my heart, Chris.” Justin told him. “He’s my world.” Chris smiled. “Then fight for him. Do whatever you have to do to make things better.” Chris told him. “I don’t know what to do.” Justin said. “Invent something. I don’t know. Make it up to him however you can. You got him once, didn’t you?” Chris asked. Justin nodded with a little smile in place. “You can do it again.” Chris said. “You guys have been through a great deal. This is something you have to beat and you guys will be stronger than ever.” Justin smiled and nodded. Chris was right. He had to fight for Brian and his relationship. He wasn’t going to let it die. *** Brian was in his office finishing his work when there was a knock on the door. Ryder came in with a big smile. “Brian, I want you to meet my nephew, Jason. Jason Scott.” Ryder said. Brian arched a brow and looked at the man in front of him. He knew he had met the man before but he couldn’t place him. “Ah, we meet again.” Jason said smiling offering his hand. “Where do I know you from?” Brian asked. Ryder watched them with a curious expression. “You don’t remember me?” Jason asked smiling. “That’s okay. It’s not important.” “Well.” Ryder said. “He is going to be working with us. He is really good.” “Great.” Brian said dryly. Ryder smiled and left the office with Jason. Brian frowned and thought for a few seconds. Then it came back to him who Jason was. He grunted and cursed under his breath. It was just his luck that something like that would happen to him. He just hoped that Jason would stay away because he didn’t want to deal with the man. He had enough troubles as it was.
