Brian and Justin ground against each other as they danced. They were in the middle of the dance floor oblivious to everything and everyone. Justin whispered something in Brian's ear making the older man smile, nod, and take Justin by the hand leading him to the back room. Justin's smile widened as he followed. Once in the back room, Brian pushed Justin against the closest wall and devoured his mouth. Justin responded in kind putting his hand at the back of Brian's neck pulling him closer and deepening the kiss. As always, the boys attracted a crowd of on-lookers in the back room. Everyone watched as they moved together in their own private dance. Brian trailed his tongue down Justin's throat to the place where it joined his shoulder. He nipped at the pale skin there causing Justin to gasp. Activity around them continued, but all eyes and attention were on the couple's every move. They were oblivious to the attention having eyes for only one another. Standing across from them, one on-looker watched the activity intrigued by the way the young blond responded to his lover. The trick on his knees before this particular on-looker all was but forgotten as his attention focused on the sounds emanating from the blond at the brunet's ministrations. Deciding he'd seen enough and wanted to experience it first hand, he pushed the trick away and walked over to where Brian and Justin stood. He watched them for several moments, but when it became clear that neither were going to acknowledge his presence, he attempted to insinuate himself between them. Justin was startled at the sudden loss of Brian's lips on his own and opened his eyes. He stared into eyes that were a lighter shade of blue than his own. A confident smirk spread over the intruder's face. Justin looked to see Brian grab the intruder's arm and haul him away. "Fuck off." Brian hissed angrily. "I don't hear him complaining." The intruder smirked keeping his eyes glued on Justin. "Fuck off." Justin said moving past the intruder toward Brian. "Sounds like a complaint to me." Brian said narrowing his eyes. "Now, why do you go play somewhere else?" The intruder nodded condescendingly then leered at Justin before walking away. "What the fuck?" Brian said starting after him, but Justin simply grabbed his arm and pulled him back. "Let's just go home." Justin said. Brian started to protest then decided it wasn't worth it. Brian nodded and led Justin out of the backroom and out of the club. -- "Can you believe that little asshole?" Brian said as he unlocked the door to their house. "And, the look on his face. Like it was his right." Brian snorted. He headed for the stairs then looked back to see Justin standing just inside the door not moving. "What's wrong?" He moved to face the other man. "Are you okay?" Brian said unable to decipher the look on Justin's face. "Justin? What's wrong?" "Nothing." Justin said unconvincingly. Brian stared at him expectantly for several minutes. "You're making me nervous as hell, Babe." Brian admitted. "Are you having an anxiety attack or something?" Justin shook his head. "No." He said softly. "He just kinda shook me up is all." "Are you sure?" Brian asked concerned. Justin nodded taking a shaky breath. Brian pulled the younger man into his arms. "I won't let anyone hurt you again, Sunshine. You know that, right?" Justin nodded against Brian's chest. Brian pulled away so as to look the blond in the face once more. Justin's eyes fell. Brian lifted Justin's chin making the younger man look him in the eye. "I love you." Brian said softly earning him a shy smile from the blond. Brian knew he didn't say it often enough, but he also knew exactly when Justin needed to hear the words. "Come on. We started something that I have every intention of finishing." Justin smiled widely as he followed Brian up the stairs. -- Justin was sitting in a booth at the diner across from Emmett when the blond, blue-eyed intruder from Babylon made another appearance. Justin was laughing at something Emmett was saying about his next 'Queer Guy' segment on the news when the other blond caught his eye. He was sitting at the counter watching the interaction between Justin and Emmett with interest. Justin looked away quickly and sat up straighter. Emmett noticed the sudden change in posture and looked to where Justin had just glanced. The other blond sat sipping his coffee looking extremely satisfied with himself. "Who the hell is that?" Emmett asked glancing back at Justin. "Some asshole that tried to get between Brian and me at Babylon the other night." Justin explained. "And, he's still in one piece?" Emmett teased. "I'd have thought the Mighty Kinney would have put his eyes out for looking at you that way." "I think he wanted to," Justin said, "but I stopped him. I just wanted to go home, you know." "He didn't try to hurt you did he?" Emmett asked his eyes narrowing at the stranger who had turned back to his lunch. "No, Em, he didn't really do anything." Justin said. "He just kinda surprised me that's all." "And, not in a good way, I gather." Emmett said. Justin nodded. "Well, Baby, you just let me know if he tries anything with you. I'll rip his fucking balls off." Justin laughed at the matter of fact way Emmett stated the threat. Emmett may admit to being the Nelliest of Nelly bottoms, but Justin had no doubt that the man could and would hurt anyone threatening his friends. "I'll be okay, Em." Justin said. "Really." "Oh, I gotta run." Emmett said looking at his watch. "I have a 10th wedding anniversary dinner to plan for the queenliest queens on the entire planet. I thought that newswoman was bad. These two have changed to menu 6 times in 2 days." "Good luck." Justin said smiling. Emmett leaned over and kissed him on the cheek before heading out the door. Justin turned back to the remnants of his lunch and pushed the plate away. He'd only eaten about two thirds of it, but the appearance of the blond from the other night had caused his stomach to tense and chased his appetite away. He pulled several bills from his wallet and set on the table with the check before leaving himself. He was halfway to the corner when the blond from Babylon popped out from around a corner, grabbed Justin by the arm and dragged him into an alley. Justin heart raced as he let out a startled sound of protest. "Sorry." The blond said. "I didn't mean to scare you." "What do you want?" Justin said trying to sound calmer than he was. "Just thought we might actually get to talk without your bodyguard around." "He's not my bodyguard, he's my partner." "Really." The blond smirked. "From what I've heard Kinney fucks everything that moves. That doesn't bother you?" "Brian doesn't do that anymore." Justin said defensively. "Maybe, maybe not." The blond smirked. "Do you?" "Do I what?" "Fuck around?" "No." Justin said and tried to move away. "Where you going?" The blond said moving closer to Justin putting his hands against the wall on either side of Justin's head pinning him in. "I just want to talk to you." "Well, I don't want to talk to you." Justin said attempting to push the man away again. "Now, Sunshine. May I call you Sunshine?" The blond asked with a feral grin on his face. "No." Justin said firmly. "Now, if you don't mind -." "Oh, but I do." The blond said leaning toward Justin his face mere inches from Justin's. "See, I always get what I want. And, I want you. So, you see, I do mind if you try to blow me off. I'd rather you suck me off." "Leave me alone." Justin said raising his voice and pushing the other man away again. "Justin?" Justin looked up to see Ben at the mouth of the alley. Ben was in the middle of setting down three large shopping bags he was carrying. "Ben." Justin said as a feeling of intense relief washed over him. "Another guard dog?" The other blond whispered as Justin dislodged himself from his grasp. "What are you doing here?" Justin asked conversationally. "I was just dropping off lunch at the shop for Michael and then I'm headed home." Ben said noticing the obvious change in Justin's demeanor. "What's going on?" "Nothing." The other blond offered with a smirk. "We were just talking." "Okay." Ben said looking from the blond to Justin and back. "Well, Justin, I sure could use a hand getting these bags home? I'm sure, um -." He looked at the other blond questioningly. "Brandon." "I'm sure Brandon won't mind if you give me a hand." Ben smiled. "You two can continue your conversation some other time." "You bet your ass we will." Brandon muttered. Justin tensed and moved over toward Ben. "Nice meeting you, um, Brandon." Ben said. "Likewise." Brandon gave Ben a tight smile then headed away from them giving Justin one final leer as he sauntered away. Once he was gone, Ben turned to Justin. "Who was that?" "Just some guy." Justin said not wanting to offer any other information. "Are you okay?" Ben asked. "You're shaking." "I'm fine." Justin snapped. "Why the hell do you care anyway?" "Whoa." Ben said taking a step back. "Where'd that come from?" "Come off it, Ben." Justin said hotly. "Why the fuck would you care about me?" "Wait a minute." Ben countered. "Regardless of what is happening with Hunter, you're still my friend." Justin snorted. "It's true. I know that things aren't exactly right between all of us right now, but that doesn't mean that when I come across a friend of mine being accosted that I'm not going to do something about it." "I wasn't being accosted." "Then what do you call it?" Ben asked. "I know what I saw, Justin." "And, I can take care of myself, Ben." "I have no doubt that you can." Ben said. "But, he was preventing you from leaving. That much I did see." Justin huffed out a breath. "Now, who the hell is that guy?" "He was at Babylon the other night." Justin explained. "He tried to get between Brian and me." Ben looked astonished. "Brian told him to fuck off and we went home. It was nothing." "It didn't look like nothing just now." Ben contradicted. "I think you should tell Brian about this." "No." Justin stated firmly. "He worries about me enough as it is." "Justin." Ben warned. "I'm not telling Brian." Justin said leaving no room for argument. "All right." Ben conceded. "But, you'd better be careful. That guy didn't look like he would take fuck off as an answer." "I'll be fine." Justin said ending the conversation. "Now, do you still want help with this stuff?" He indicated the abandoned grocery bags. "Sure." Ben said. Justin picked up one of the bag and help Ben situate the other two in his arms as they made their way to the nearby bus stop. End chapter one.
