Finally! That took me a while, oh well. Here's chapter five. It's getting nice and dramatic now :P Tell me what you think!

Michael stood in-front of Emmett's full length mirror in their apartment, changing his shirt for the umpteenth time. Emmett was sitting on his bed, legs crossed, looking pointedly at now shirtless man. "What are you going to take him to see?" Emmett asked, curiously.

"Final Destination 2, he mentioned liking the first one at the diner..." He pulled another shirt over his head.

"Oooh, a scary movie... you need any condoms?" He asked Michael, who glared at him through the mirror. "We're going to see a movie, then to lunch... in the middle of the afternoon! We're not going to end up in the back seat of the car or something..." He finished, pulling the shirt back over his head.

"I don't know... Justin seems a bit.... promiscuous." Emmett stated, picking at the blanket under him. Michael stopped. "Thats what Brian said."

"Brian said what?" Emmett asked, confused.

"That Justin only wanted to sleep with me..." He trailed off, unsure. Emmett rolled his eyes, "I didn't say that, I just said he's a bit outgoing... might be good for you in your old age." He giggled at Michael, who threw a shirt at him. He continued changing as Emmett made his way out of the room. He pulled on a plain black t-shirt, not to tight, not to loose, and he smiled. 'Finally' he thought, smoothing the shirt and making his way out of Emmett's bedroom. Emmett was sitting on the couch, on the phone. "Who is it?" Michael asked.

"It's Brian, he wants to talk to you, but hasn't said PLEASE yet." Emmett yelped as Michael stole the phone from him. He stood up and huffed, "I can see why you two are friends, both completely RUDE!"

Michael smiled, and shook his head. He put the phone to his ear, "Brian?" He asked, wondering if he was still there.

"Yeah Mikey, Im here..." Brian's voice trailed off...

"What is it? Emmett said you wanted to talk to me?" He ignored the man is question, who was currently queening out about the pile of shirts he left in his room.

"I'm bored, lets go to Woody's." Brian stated, not really asking.

"Brian its..." Michael looked at his watch, "11:30 am, Its a little early... plus I'm taking Justin out here in a bit, I should get going."

Brian got quiet, "Brian?" Michael asked.

"Where are you going?" He asked, pretending to be uninterested.

"I'm taking him to the theater... then to lunch, but I have to go, I'll talk to you later." Micheal hung up.

"See you later Em!" He called to his roommate who was still going on about the clothes. He grabbed his keys and jacket, and left the apartment.

~~~~~
Brian stared at the phone, "Mikey hung up on me..." He said to himself quietly, "He never hangs up on ME..." He looked over the bottle of beam in his hand and thought maybe Michael was right, It was a bit early to be drinking. Brian placed the bottle on his coffee table and stood up, phone still clutched in his hand. "I'm taking him to the theater... neh neh neh..." He did a high pitched impression of Michael. He sighed, defiantly too early to be drinking.
~~~~~

Justin sat at the counter in the diner. He was currently trying to convince himself the he wasn't using Michael, that he genuinely wanted to go out with him. He sighed, it wasn't working. He thought of Brian, and about last night. He tried to push the feeling of jealously down, that wasn't working either. He wondered if 7 tricks, 8 beers and 4 beams were normal for Brian... considering the type of job he held, he thought not. He also didn't think counting how many tricks, and drinks he had was normal either. Justin started thinking of what could make him overload like that... maybe he saw Michael ask me out... maybe he likes Michael. He stopped. Although he couldn't really imagine Brian with Michael.... like that, they have been friends for a long time. 'Maybe the friendship turned into something more for Brian...' He thought, feeling dread creep through his body at the thought.

Justin jumped as he felt someone cover his eyes. He elbowed the intruder in the stomach, and turned around, he saw Michael doubled over, wheezing.

"Michael!" He called, now having the attention of the diner. Some laughing, some worried, and some didn't seem to care either way. "Are you okay?" He asked, Michael looked up and nodded, "Hey Justin..."

Justin helped him over to an empty booth, and Kiki, seeing what had happened, brought over a glass of water.

'Deja vu...' He thought, sitting next to Michael. "Are you okay?" He asked again, and Michael smiled, "I'm fine... I guess I know not to surprise you anymore... you may just kill me."

Justin smiled shyly, "Yeah well, hopefully it doesn't happen again... I keep beating up all of Ted's friends." Michael looked at Justin confused.

"I kicked Brian in the stomach last night... " Michael laughed, sounding better. "Well, we'll never throw a surprise party for you... It'll end up on the nine o'clock news." Justin laughed, and shook his head, "I'm not THAT bad." MIchael chuckled.

"So you want to get out of here?"

Justin had a quick flashback of the first night he met Brian... although it seemed like ages ago, it was only about four days ago.

"Are you sure you're okay?" He asked again and Michael nodded, "Come on, we're going to be late." He stood up, waiting for Justin.

Justin nodded, and stood up as well, "Lead the way..."

~~~~~
Brian walked into the Diner around two in the afternoon, and saw Debbie behind the counter. He took a seat, not looking at the woman he saw as a mother. "Coffee" he said simply. She nodded and walked away.
Brian didn't know why he was feeling so down, usually when he was feeling like this he went to Babylon or Woodys, and fucked his heart out... but all he could think of anymore was the god-damned twink. It was really starting to piss him off. He had only fucked the blonde once, but he still cant get him out of his head. Even last night at Babylon, all his tricks seemed to have one particular feature, they were either blonde, had blue eyes, or both. But it still wasn't satisfying... he thought back to the night he and Justin fucked. He had never felt so satisfied before... yet he still wanted more. Not more tricks, like usual, but more Justin...
He shook his head, "You just need one really good fuck, Kinney, to get him off of your mind."
Brian saw Debbie make her way back to him with coffee and a plate. She placed the coffee in front of him and the plate as well which had a turkey sandwich on wheat, and a small salad on the side. "What the hell is this?" He demanded, "I didn't order this..."
"I know," Debbie said, "I ordered it for you, you need to eat. So I brought you your usual." She smiled.
"I'm not eating it." Brian shot back stubbornly, as if he was 14 again.
"You bet your skinny ass you are," She stated, in a 'no bullshit' tone, "you're lucky I didn't bring you a greasy burger with fries..."
Brian sighed, he knew she wasn't going to let this one go.
"You should take a leaf out of Justin's book..." Brian winced, 'had to bring up HIM,' "Now HE has a healthy appetite!" She stated proudly.
"Yeah, he also has the metabolism of a humming bird..." Brian snarked, staring at the sandwich in front of him.
"I guess things like that fleet with age." Debbie joked, and Brian sent her a glare.
"I'm not old!" He exclaimed, offended.
Debbie laughed, "I know, asshole," she said affectionately, "Hey.. do you know where Michael is? I took the one o'clock shift so I could see him."
Brian snorted, "He's on a date, with Justin." He bit out bitterly, not caring how it sounded.
"A date?!" She exclaimed loudly, "With SUNSHINE?!?" Brian winced as she got louder.
"Why doesn't anyone tell me these things?!"
"I wonder." Brian deadpanned. Debbie reached over and hit him upside the head.
"Oh they make such a cute couple..." Debbie began, with a dreamy quality to her voice. "Where do you think he took him?"
"I don't know," Brian lied, "Paris." Debbie snorted, rolling her eyes.
"Sounds to me like you're jealous..." She teased.
Now he rolled his eyes, "Of what? Mikey convincing himself that he and Justin belong together...? That someday they'll get married, move into some suburban home and adopt..." He bit out, as if the words were hot coals on his tongue.
Debbie was surprised, she was just teasing but now it really sounded as if he was jealous. "No..." She said slowly, "That they're out having fun being each-others company. You know Brian, you don't fool me... you're not as cool as you think. You may feel as if dating is useless and relationships are bad, and who knows, you may be right," She continued, "but being with somebody YOU want to be with, and wants to be with you in return is never bad. Truly doing what you want..."
"I do what I want." Brian cut her off, "No, you don't... you follow rules... your rules, but rules non-the-less. Whereas my son asked Justin out because he wanted to, despite what his best friend would think of him." Debbie picked up his sandwich, "Its soggy now, Ill get you a fresh one." She walked away, leaving Brian to think about what she had said.
~~~~~

Justin sat in Michael's car, naming off various artists. They were coming back from the movie, ready to get some lunch.

"Marc Changall?"

"Nope."

"Henri Matisse?"

"Never heard of him"

"Okay... Andy Warhol! You have to know him, he was born here in The Pitts!" Justin exclaimed.

"Is that the guy who cut off his ear?" Michael asked, seriously.

Just shook his head, chuckling, "You're hopeless!" He yelled.

"This coming from the guy who thought Clark Kent's alter ego was Spiderman!" Justin laughed.

Michael looked over at the chuckling Justin, "So when do you start school?" He asked.

"Wednesday." Justin replied, "Frightening, isn't it?" He laughed as Michael nodded vigorously.

"Wow..." Michael trailed off, thinking, "I kinda forgot what college was like..."

"Long time ago, huh?" Justin smiled as Michael stuck his tongue out at him. "Not that long ago, I'm not that old."

"I know," Justin said, "I'm just playing with you, you're like, 45 right?" He asked, teasing in his voice.

"You little brat, you're going to pay for that!" Michael yelled and Justin laughed.

He leaned over and turned on the radio, "Highway to Hell" was playing, and Justin looked at Michael, who looked at the radio...

"It was just a movie..." Justin trailed off. "Yeah." Michael agreed.

~I'm on the highway to hell! Highway to hell! I'm on the Highwa...~

Michael changed the station. Justin smirked and looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"What?" Michael asked, "I don't like the song..."

"Uh huh..." Justin laughed.

"I don't!" Michael exclaimed.

Justin laughed harder and turned the radio down as he began to sing, "Living easy, livin' free...!"

"Stop!" Michael yelled, laughing.

"Season ticket, on a one-way ride. Asking nothing, leave me be...!" He continued to sing.

"Taking everything in my stride!" Michael sang with him.

"Don't need reason, don't need rhyme. Ain't nothing I would rather do! Going down, party time! My friends are gonna be there too....!" Justin sang loudly.

"I'm on the HIGH-WAY to hell!" They sang together, laughing.

~~~~~
Justin walked into Ted's apartment smiling. Seeing Ted sitting on the couch he walked over and sat next to him.
"Hey, Sunshine." Ted greeted him, not taking his eyes off of his laptop. "Hey Theo, what are you doing?
"Eh, I'm looking for an assistant, things are getting a little busy at work."
"I would do it... but no." Ted smiled at his cousin, "Have fun on your date?" He asked, curious.
"Yeah, Michael's pretty cool... although at times it seems like I'm talking to my brother, not my date. I don't know, Im probably imagining it..."
"Yeah," Ted agreed halfheartedly, remembering what Emmett said about the two. "What do you think about Brian?" He asked a little more curious, closing his laptop.
"Brian?" Justin asked, "Why?"
"Just curious... so?" Ted urged.
"Well... he's hot, demanding, strong.... kind of an asshole, but honest for the most part..." Ted watched as Justin seemed to retreat into himself as he talked about Brian. 'Emmett was right. Hmm.' "...his temper is pretty intense, but he also seems a little misunderstood. He's hot,"
"You said that already..." Ted said, cutting him off. He smirked at the blush that came over Justin's face. "So!" Justin cleared his throat, getting off of the subject. "You want to stay in tonight, and have dinner with me? Catch up?" He asked.
"Sure, but, don't you have to work tonight?" Ted asked, a very small glimmer of hope that Justin had quit.
"Yeah, not till ten though... so what do you say? Ill make my famous Shrimp Jambalaya..."
"Famous?" Ted laughed, "Shrimp Jambalaya is the only thing you even know HOW to make.... AND you use shrimp from a can!" Ted told Justin, who pouted.
"It's still good," He mumbled, and Ted laughed harder.
~~~~~

Brian stood at the bar in Woody's next to Michael, who really didn't know when to shut up.

"He's really funny, though sometimes its like I'm talking to a sibling rather than a date..." That caught Brian's attention.

"So you're not going to date him anymore?" He asked Michael, who looked confused at the question. "Well I don't know, why? Do..." He paused, staring at Brian, "Do you like Justin?" He asked, now smiling.

"Shut-up Mikey" Brian stated, in a fake sing-song voice.

"You do! You like him! AND you're jealous!" Michael laughed at his friend who was now glaring at him.

"I think Mikey's had enough..."

"I've had one beer, and don't change the subject!"

Brian looked around the bar, then back a Michael, "If I were jealous..." He began, grabbing a guy by the waist, and pushed him towards the bathrooms. "Would I be doing this?" He asked, walking away with the trick, tongue in cheek.

"UH, YEAH!" Michael yelled at Brian while laughing, who proceeded to flip him off.

~~~~~
The next day the 'family' gathered together at Debbie's for dinner. Justin was a little nervous. He hadn't seen Brian at all the other day, and didn't know if he was coming tonight. Although he didn't fully understand why he gave a shit, he DID give a shit, and once again craved that approval... He was looking through the clothes he had brought with him and sighed... he was going to have to go shopping. Emmett had mentioned something about working at a store called 'Torso' on Liberty Ave. and made a note to stop by before school started.
He finally settled on dark baggy blue jeans and a tight grey t-shirt that said 'Breakfast Included' Justin laughed at how juvenile it made him look, but quickly forgot it as he heard Ted call him from the next room.
"You ready?" Ted walked into the room, and gave Justin an odd look before cracking up himself.
"Justin, you look 15! When did you buy that shirt?" Justin looked down at the slightly worn shirt, "When I was 15..."
Ted shook his head, "Come on, we're going to be late, then Debbie would have our balls."
~~~~~

Brian sighed for the tenth time in the last 5 minutes.... the thought of turning around and going back to his loft crossed his mind again, and he threw it out the window. 'I promised Deb I would go, so ill go.' He heard the same annoying voice in the back of his head, telling him that he knew Justin would be there, and wanted to talk to him.

He took a deep breath as he saw the small house, with a rainbow flag proudly hung outside come into view. He stopped in front of the house and killed the engine. He rubbed his eyes and thought back to what Debbie had said about "truly" doing what he wanted, he hated to admit it... but she was right. He followed rules when it came to sex cause he was... Brian sighed again, "I am NOT scared..." he assured himself, "Just... cautious, there's nothing wrong with that." He finished and ran his hand through his hair before exiting the vehicle.

He made his way to the front door, forcing himself to keep a blank face. He knocked three times and not long after the blonde himself opened the door, holding his son. He stepped inside and motioned to the baby in Justin's arms and Justin passed him over to the tall man.

"Hey Sonny-boy..."

"You call him Sonny-boy?" Justin asked, a small smile on his face.

"I was talking to you..." Brian smiled flirtatiously at Justin before tuning his attention to his son. He saw Justin blush before he heard Michael call the boy in question.

Justin smiled at Brian, before turing and heading towards Michael. The two headed outback and Brian tried not to think of it. instead he held his son close and headed to the couch. He sat next to Emmett who was going on about something trivial. He place Gus on his lap, facing him and looked into his eyes, "You like Justin, Sonny-boy?" He asked. Gus bit his lip before giggling and nodding. "Yeah... me too."

~~~~~
Justin followed Michael outback, and shivered slightly at the chilly air.
"So..." Justin began...
"So..." Michael followed. Justin rolled his eyes, "We're acting like fucking teenagers... well I AM a teenager, but you have no excuse..." Michael laughed a little as Justin crossed his arms and sent him a fake glare.
"Listen Justin, I wanted to talk to you about yesterday..."
"Oh my god..." Justin began, his face falling.
"What?" Michael asked, wide eyed and worried.
"You're pregnant."Justin accused, in all seriousness. Michael laughed, and shook his head, "No! I'm not pregnant!" Justin giggled along with him.
"What I was GOING to say was... I had a lot of fun, and I would like to do it again. I mean, if you want to..."
Justin smiled, and nodded, pushing Brian out of his head again. He saw Michael start to lean into him and close his eyes. He closed his eyes as well and felt Michael's lips on his.
~~~~~

Brian got up to get Michael and Justin for dinner. He walked to the sliding glass doors that led to the back yard and was grounded by what he saw. Michael and Justin were kissing on the back porch. Brian didn't know why he felt so hurt... him and Justin had no ties, thats what he wanted. No ties to no man, no relationships, no boyfriends. But that didn't stop Justin from kissing Michael.... and it defiantly didn't stop his chest from hurting at the sight.

He turned on his heal and made his way to the front door. He mumbled a small "gotta go" before making his way outside, and into his Jeep.

~~~~~
Michael pulled away from Justin awkwardly. He looked at the equally awkward looking boy who was currently trying to look anywhere but at Michael.
"That was..." Justin began.
"Like kissing my brother." They said in stereo, then laughed.
"So... I guess thats the end of that," Michael said, rubbing the back of his head.
"We can still go out... Just, as friends this time." Justin suggested and Michael nodded.
"Thats good cause... no offense, but I don't think I could stand dating someone who doesn't know the difference between Spiderman and Superman..."
"You're never going to let that go!" Justin yelled, laughing.
~~~~~

Brian walked into his loft and threw his keys on the couch before kicking off his shoes and pulling off his jacket. He saw the blinking light on his answering machine and sighed, he briefly thought of ignoring it and going to bed. Instead he walked over and pressed play.

"You have 5 new messages."

"Kinney! God-damit, pick up your bloody phone!" Gardner Vance's voice filled the loft. Brian shook his head and sighed.

"Kinney! I'm begging you, you have your cellphone turned off. What the fuck is the point of a cellphone if you're going to keep it turned off!?" Vance's voice filled the room once again.

"Brian! You git! Call me the fuck back, now!" Brian furrowed his eyebrows, 'what the hell is so important?' He walked over to the wet-bar and poured himself a healthy glass of Beam, before walking back to the answering machine.

"Brian you have to call me as soon as you get this message, use my home phone, I don't care!" Now Brian was getting worried. Vance had made it clear to him that he was to NEVER call his house, no matter what the circumstances.

"Fuck Brian..." Vance paused, "I didn't want to tell you this over the phone but it looks like you left me no choice. You know Kip Thomas? The Intern you apparently FUCKED on your desk? Well he's suing you for sexually harassment! Now, you have to get yourself a lawyer..."

But Brian wasn't listening anymore, he dropped his glass and barley heard it shatter at his feet... He was fucked...

...and not in the good, life affirming way either.

He was totally and completely fucked.
