Chapter 5: December 5 Oh it's Christmas.. I'm so glad that you came my way From a million stars you and you are I swear your love is mine And I somehow I knew that Justin woke up, groaning at the beeping sound of his alarm clock. The noise had rudely awakened him from a wonderful dream; a dream he'd had for days. It was only now that he finally believed that maybe his dreams could come true. He was quite exited about the day and what lay ahead of him, so he stood up and got ready. Meanwhile, Rudolph lay half-asleep on the other pillow on Justin's bed and watched him with only one eye completely open. He was exited about the day himself, he loved the smell of freshly cut Christmas trees. *************** At the same time, Gus was running around the loft and slowly driving his father nuts. What he didn't know was, that his son was playing catch with Blitzen, while an amused Donner watched them. Gus was pretty much a happy kid, except for the fact that he desperately wanted to have a partner for his father and another one for himself. If the three of them couldn't bring Brian and Justin together, Gus would never be completely happy, and that was something Santa wouldn't want for this bright and energetic boy. *************** On the other site of town Misses Claus was setting up the Christmas trees. While her husband busily ordered the elves around to get everything ready for Christmas, she'd become bored, and had decided to interfere on her own for a day or two, until most of the ordering around at the North-Pole was over. Also, if she was honest with herself, she wanted to meet Gus later on. Donner and Blitzen had written to her last night saying that Gus, his father and planning-to-be-partner/father were going to buy a Christmas tree today , so she told the reindeer to get them to visit a particular Christmas tree lot. She was quite excited to meet young Gus, it was really rare these days that someone as young as Gus wished for something for Christmas that wasn't for himself. Well, at least not directly. Suddenly she heard a loud shriek from across the lot and frowned. This turn of events definitely would put a little damper on the day. "Lindsay, Melanie, could you please tell me about what they are doing here, while I finish setting everything," Misses Claus asked the two angels who had suddenly appeared behind her after the shriek from the woman across the lot. "Well, we thought Gus would maybe like to see his Grandma and Uncle again," Lindsay mumbled embarrassed, because she'd only just thought about how Brian would like to meet Michael & Debbie, and how Michael would react towards Justin. "Well, at least you're realizing it now, better now then never, but I will hold you responsible if this turn of events fucks with Gus' Christmas wish," Mrs. Claus hissed slightly pissed, and moreso when she heard the short brown-haired man. "Ma, I just bet Brian doesn't and won't have a Christmas tree for Gus. We have to do something. Gus can't celebrate Christmas with Brian, who'll probably be getting his dick sucked on Christmas eve, while Gus waits at home for Santa to come." Mrs. Claus was very pissed now by the man's behaviour. *************** "Justin! Justin!" Gus was sitting in front of one of the big windows at the loft and shouted excitedly when he saw Justin coming closer to the building, as he knocked on the window pane. Brian was worried about his window and so he went over to his son, hugged him from behind and pulled him away. "Gus, Justin can't hear you, we're on the 4th floor," Brian chuckled to his son, while throwing Gus upside down over his shoulder, making Gus start to giggle. "Dad, let me down, please. I'll be good, I promise," the young Kinney said, laughing because his father had also begun to tickle him. The laughing and giggling continued even after the buzzer rang and Justin appeared in the loft door. Slightly amused, Justin watched as the two Kinney men wrestled playfully on the loft floor. "Mind closing the door, Sunshine?" Brian asked while catching his breath from all the laughing. "Sure," Justin answered and did so. "Justin!" Gus shouted again, ran over to him and hugged him. Justin just smiled and ruffled Gus' hair. "Hey there, little guy. I missed you," he said and kissed Gus head. "And what about me?" With mischief in his eyes, Brian who still lay on the hardwood floor, smiled up at them. "You too, you moron," the blond answered, as he went over to Brian and held his hand out to help him up. Brian took it and with a squeal Justin lay on top of him. "That's what you get for calling me moron... twat," he said and kissed Justin. "Dad, let's go, okay?" Gus said and threw himself on top of Brian and Justin. "Okay, just gimme just one moment," Brian answered and hugged both of them tight. Feeling save for the first time in years, Justin began to nuzzle Brians neck. "Okay, up guys. I'm getting quite excited here," Brian said, just a moment later when he felt a tightening in his groin. *************** "Dad! Justin! Look, there's uncle Mikey and Grandma Debbie!" Gus shouted as soon as the three of them entered the Christmas tree lot. A shocked and worried Brian looked over to where Gus had pointed. "Look Justin, no matter what happens, I want you to know, that most of the things they will tell you about me are true, but that was a long time ago, okay?" Brian told the blond standing beside him, while he reached out for his hand and held it in a vice like grip, but not as strong as to hurt Justin. "It's okay, Brian. I don't even know them," Justin answered and stroked Brian's cheek with his glove covered hand. The hand may have been gloved, but Brian still felt the warmth and strength radiating from it. "Thank you," he answered, leaning to kiss Justin, while he watched Michael and Debbie coming closer to them. "Grandma! Uncle Mike!" Gus shouted and ran over to them to get a hug from his grandma. "Gus, how are you doing, honey?" she asked while she glanced to the kissing couple in front of her. She frowned. Somehow she knew the other guy from somewhere. Only when said guy looked her way, and opened his eyes wide in surprise, did she recognize him. "Sunshine? What are you doing here with that asshole?" Debbie shouted outraged, totally forgett ing about Gus who looked up at her with a hurt expression. "I'm doing fine, Debbie. Thank you for asking," Justin answered, ignoring Debbie's insult towards Brian completely, but looking pisssed, when he saw the hurt look in Gus eyes. "Oh, don't play dumb with me, kiddo, and stop with the fucking attitude. I see that the asshole's already influenced you!" she said, as she came closer and looked angrily at Brian, who seemed to get paler with every sentence Debbie said. "Look Debbie, if you don't have something nice to say, I'd rather you say nothing at all. And the only one who is being a bad influence right now is you. You seem to forget that there is a young boy, who missed his grandma very much," Justin said and hugged Brian to him. After the safeness he felt in the loft, Justin also felt the need to protect Brian. Somehow he knew that Brian had never had someone who stood up from him. "Don't talk to my mom like this you little shit. You're nothing more than today's trick. Tomorrow you will be history. That's just how Brian is, and he always will be this way. Believe me , I should know, he was my best friend for a long time." Michael had seen and heard enough, and honestly he was sick of seeing Brian and that twink acting like a fucking couple in front of Gus. The kid was still mourning over his mother's deaths and Brian was nearly fucking the twink in front of his eyes. Brian, who until now had kept silent, shook with anger. It wasn't that he couldn't take the insults the two were throwing at him, but it was totally another thing to insult Justin, and telling him things about him, that were from years ago. Michael should know better. "Mr. Kinney! Gus! Justin! Great you could make it today, please come with me, I have your tree ready ." Suddenly a blonde haired woman was kneeling behind Gus. When Brian looked over at her, she was whispering something in Gus' ear which made the boy smile brightly up at her. Even if Brian didn't order a tree, he nodded at her. "Okay, well. If you excuse us Debbie, Michael , we have to get our Christmas tree," Brian said with a cold glance in Debbie and Michael's direction, and with Justin still holding his hand. The pair then turned, and went after the lady, who guided them to what Brian would later discribe as the 'most fucking fantastic Christmas tree he'd ever seen'. *************** Later that day, Brian lay awake in his bed and thought about his day. He'd had fun playing with Gus, and later, with Justin on top of him, he felt comfortable around a guy for the first time. Also, for the first time ever, he decided that his bed was too big for one person alone, and longed for someone to lay beside him. But not just anybody. He wanted Justin beside him, like, for the rest of his life. His little bulldog. He'd never thought someone, especially someone he'd only known for a couple of days, would stand up for him, but miracles could happen. For the first time in ages, Brian fell aspleep with a smile on his face.
