The rule book was tossed out the day a handsome client walked into his office changing his views on love and commitment. When a tragic accident takes the life of his loved one he decides it's too painful to leave one's heart that vulnerable. Needing to make some changes, Brian moves from the city. Can a blond stranger make him realize that he still has a lot more to offer and erase any guilt about moving on with his life with someone new. Additional warnings-This story is mainly about Brian, although eventually Justin enters the scene. Angst and death of a minor character.

Post 513, Justin's New York adventure doesn't turn out like planned, but that's not the end of the world.

Spoilers for all seasons.

Justin is so unhappy and fed up on Christmas, he's seriously considering walking away from his relationship.

Summary: Brian’s worst nightmares collide in an sexually-charged, eggnog-mediated, squirrel-themed board game.

Takes place one year after A New York Kind of Love. Justin finally enters the homestretch of his post-NY bombing recovery...

This story started off as a ‘what if’ ... what if Brian hadn’t met Justin until sometime in Season Three?  Which things would be different and which would be the same ... or brought about in a different way?  How would Brian be different?  Would he be better, or would he be worse?  Would he still react to Justin in the same way if they were both a couple of years older?

Anyway, that was how it started; but then I had to supply a background for Justin that was canon to begin with, but ended up being quite different ... and then the whole thing turned into a kind of thriller.  Well, I hope it did.

So I guess this is part what-if, part AU, part thriller ... but most of all, of course, a love story.

As it is usually my style to write smut, I have followed my own tradition well, but I must warn you that there might be references to a couple of intimate acts that some readers might find offensive or gross. However, if you're here and have read other B/J stories, it shouldn't be too shocking.

So I’ve heard Speechless by Lady Gaga many times and I absolutely love the song, well all songs by Gaga, but that’s beside the point.

One day my muse (who happens to be Brian Kinney, but occasionally Justin will make his opinion known) put this in my mind and wouldn’t leave me alone until I wrote it. He just keeps nagging me until I write down every thought going through my mind. Some days he’s quiet, other days there are too many thoughts and I can’t write, but for this story we were very much in agreement. 

I've been wanting to write a B/J story inspired by Gaga for a while, but nothing came to mind... then I heard this one day and it clicked, Brian agreed and here is what we came up with. Enjoy and R&R, if you would be so kind.
